Eduardo Castells Mateo is a highly accomplished Animation Director and Animation Supervisor with over two decades of experience in the film, television, and commercial industries. With a strong foundation in creature and character animation, Eduardo has led teams across major international studios, contributing to some of the most recognized productions in the industry.
 

Throughout his career, Eduardo has held senior and supervisory roles at world-renowned studios including DNEG, Moving Picture Company (MPC), Cinesite, Framestore, and Outpost VFX. His credits span large-scale feature films and episodic productions such as Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, Justice League, Venom, Wonder Woman 1984, Fast & Furious 9, The Wheel of Time, and The Rig, among others.

With extensive experience in both keyframe animation and motion capture workflows, Eduardo brings a strong cinematic eye combined with technical precision. His leadership style emphasizes collaboration across departments, working closely with VFX Supervisors, Production, and Creative teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and at the highest level of quality.
 

Beyond supervision, Eduardo maintains a hands-on approach to animation, with deep expertise in creature performance, character-driven storytelling, and Unreal Engine pipelines. His versatility as both a Supervisor and Lead Animator allows him to bridge creative vision with execution seamlessly.
 

Fluent in Spanish and English, Eduardo has built an international career working across Europe and global markets, consistently contributing to high-end productions that demand both artistic excellence and production efficiency. At Lacus Post, Eduardo plays a key role in strengthening the Animation division, bringing high-level studio experience to projects ranging from feature films to premium episodic productions.
