Victor Rivas

Victor Rivas is a highly experienced VFX Supervisor with a career spanning nearly 20 years in the film, television, and advertising industries. Since 2005, he has contributed to a wide range of high-profile projects across the U.S. and Latin America, working across all stages of post-production with a strong focus on visual effects and creative direction. Early in his career, Victor led teams in the development of commercials and music videos, gaining recognition for his ability to blend creative storytelling with technical execution. His work on the beloved Air-Con robot campaign for Daikin became a regional phenomenon and a defining project in the Puerto Rican advertising space.

Victor’s career expanded into international territories, collaborating on Captain America: Civil War with the Russo Brothers, providing on-set data capture and scanning for VFX. He later served as a Digital Compositor on feature films such as Todo X Sara, Dos Caminos, and Replicas, while supervising post-production teams across diverse formats and genres. By 2019, Victor joined MPC Film as a Digital Compositor, where he contributed to major studio productions including Noelle, Clifford: The Big Red Dog, and The One and Only Ivan—the latter of which earned the HPA Award for Best Visual Effects in 2020. His attention to photorealism and seamless integration of CG elements has made him a trusted asset across the VFX pipeline. Between 2023 and 2024, Victor served as VFX Supervisor for the feature film Las Super Estrellas de la Lucha Libre, overseeing every aspect of the visual effects process—from previsualization to final delivery.

 

The film became a box-office hit in Puerto Rico and gained traction for theatrical distribution in key U.S. markets. Throughout his career, Victor has collaborated with global studios including Alkemy X, The Mill, Powerhouse VFX, Ingenuity Studios, Harbor Picture Company, Mikros Animation, and Piñolywood Studios. His credits include work on Raising Kanan, The Gilded Age, Servant, and Thelma the Unicorn, among many others. Victor continues to break new ground in the VFX industry, combining technical mastery with a deep understanding of cinematic language. He is recognized for his hands-on leadership, innovative thinking, and ability to elevate both emerging and established productions with world-class visual effects.
